My version of Hooter;s Hot Wings

I use these to products to make a perfert Hooters Wings! And their great for Buffalo Shrimp!



I can usually purchase the sauce at my local HEB, but I can only get the breading at Ruben's Grocery in McAllen! Need to talk to HEB about getting the breading. If you don't live close to an HEB or Ruben's Grocery you can always try it getting these great products online!

4 1/2 LB – 5 LB. Chicken Wings ( cut into drumettes and flappers)
2 C. Whole Wheat Flour
1 C. All Purpose Flour
2 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. Paprika
1/4 tsp. Cayenne Pepper



In large mixing bowl mix flours, salt, paprika and cayenne pepper together, blend well. Cut chicken wings into drumettes and flappers. Wash and drain chicken. Coat chicken in flour mixture, refrigerate chicken wings for 90 minutes.
When ready to deep fry chicken wings heat oil to 375. Place chicken pieces in hot oil, do not crowd. Fry chicken wings until golden brown, remove from oil and drain. When all wings have been fried, place in a large bowl. Add Hot Sauce mixture and mix completely. Use a fork or tongs to place chicken pieces on a serving platter. Serve immediately and with lots of paper towels.

Adobo Seasoned Baked Chicken Wings

1/2 cup mango nectar
1/4 cup honey
1 to 2 tbsp red hot sauce
Slat and freshly ground black pepper
2 tsp granulated garlic powder
2 tsp granulated onion powder
2 tsp ground turmeric
40 chicken wins, rinsed well and patted dry
2 tbsp canola oil
2 tbsp finely chopped fresh oregano(or 2 tsp good dried oregano)

1. Prehat ovent to 425F.

2. Stir together the mango nectar, honey, and hot sacue in a bowl; season with salt and pepper. Set aside.

3. Mis garlic powder, onio powder, and turmeric in a small bowl for adobo seasoning. Add 11 Tbsp of sal 1 tsp of black pepper. Toss with wings in a bowl with the oil.

4. Transfer wings to a large baking sheet(or 2 small ones, if needed)in a single layer. Bake for 20 minutes. Turn wings over; continue baking for 20 minutes. Remove wings from the oven, generously brush with the glaze, then continue baking 10 minutes more until cooked through. Remove to a platter and sprinkle with the oregano.

Serve 8

Sausage Cheese Balls

2 pkgs.(16 oz. each) Jimmy Dean Pork Sausage
1 1/2 cups all purpose baking mix
16 oz (4 cups)shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup finely chopped celery
2 teaspoons black pepper
2 teaspoons minced garlic(optional)

Preheat oven to 375f. comine all ingrediaents in a larg mixxing bowl; stir well. Form into 1: balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet; bake 18-20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven; cool 5 minutes before removing from pan.

Serve with cocktail forks or toothipcks.

Makes about 6 dozens.

Deviled Eggs

Ingrediants

12 eggs
1/2 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
4 tablespoons dill relish
4 tablespoons sweet relish
1/4 cup finely chopped celery
1/4 cup finely chopped spanish olives
1/4 cup of mayo


Directions

Place eggs in a large saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring water to a boil and immediately remove from heat. Cover and let eggs stand in hot water for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from hot water, cool and peel.
Slice eggs in half lengthwise and remove yolks. Place yolks in a medium bowl. Mash together with cream cheese. Mix in the mayo, relishes, celery and spanish olives.
Fill the hollowed egg whites generously with the egg yolk mixture. Sprinkle a dash of paprika on top of each egg. Chill in the refrigerator until serving.

Pigs In a Blanket

32 Hillshire Fram Cocktail Links
1 (8oz) can refrigeraed crescent dinner rolls

Heat oven ot 375 F. Cut each dinner roll in quarters. Wrap each cocktail link in one quarter roll. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm with ketchup and mustard if desired.
